Service Description

Steelhead are an elusive hard fighting and acrobatic trout species known for jumping out of the water and being difficult to catch. Captain Josh Kozsey makes it easier by employing his favorite tips and tricks on the water! Techniques to fish for them include back trolling plugs, bobber doggin beads, side drifting, and other bobber-style baits. We chase steelhead on the Sandy, Cowlitz, Lewis, Tillamook, and Columbia rivers. On the smaller Tillamook rivers, we take our driftboat, which can hold up to three clients. All other locations, we take our open sled, which we can take up to six clients on. Trips include all professional fishing gear for each person, and fish processing! Trip Details: 1. Each person must have a valid fishing license. 2. Dress in weather-ready layers. 3. We go where the fish are and fish when they are biting. RWO will contact you in the days leading up to the trip with the exact location and leave time. Plan for an early morning. 4. Bring water and a sack lunch.
